On March 28, 2013, PSU received the visit of one lecturer and 23 students from the Economic Faculty of Andalas University, Indonesia. They were members of the Indonesian Stock Exchange Corner of Andalas University, located in Padang, Sumatra Island. Our guests were warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ram Yamsangsung, Assistant President for International Affairs, and representatives from the International Affairs Office.

The objectives of their visit were to learn more about the study programs offered at PSU in the area of economics, opportunities for international students to further their studies at our university, as well as to see the differences between the teaching methods at PSU and Andalas University. During the meeting, our visitors also discussed possible future student exchanges between the two universities, such as a 1 – 4 months student exchange credit transfer program, which may start in September of 2014 with a number of 10 students initially. They also had a study tour to the PSU Faculty of Management Sciences.
