Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously granted an audience to the Thai universities' representatives that offer scholarships to Cambodian students to further their higher education in Thailand at the Chitralada Palace on August 31, 2012. PSU President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, and representatives from each relevant faculty together with five Cambodian students studying at PSU attended this special event.

PSU has participated in the Royal Sponsorship Project in the Kingdom of Cambodia since 2011 by offering five scholarships to Cambodian students to study in the field of Fishery Technology, Biology, Insurance and Risk Management, and Information Technology.

In the next academic year, commencing in June 2013, PSU will humbly offer 21 scholarships in the field of health science, science and technology, agriculture, education, engineering, social science, and services to Cambodian students to pursue their studies both at the undergraduate and post graduate levels in four campuses of PSU: Hat Yai, Pattani, Surat Thani, and Pkuket. The recruitment for scholarship recipients has been scheduled in December 2012 in Phanom Phen, the Kingdom of Cambodia.
