On 22 July 2019, PSU President Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Udomphon Puetpaiboon, Vice President for Trang Campus, attended the establishment ceremony of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Exchange Center at Fudan University, Shanghai, China. As the highlight of the ceremony, Dr. Niwat signed an MoU on the establishment of the center, together with the leaders of eight universities from six countries in the Lancang-Mekong river basin: Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.

       The exchange center was established with the explicit aim to promote cultural exchange and improve cooperation in the higher education sector of the six partner countries. The Thai operational office of the center will be located at PSU Trang Campus.
