and Prince of Songkla University was held on December 25,
2006 in order to work out together ways of cooperation between
the industrial sector and academicians. The Federation of
Thai Industries, Songkhla, requests PSU to assist in three
main areas which are as follows;
1.
Rubber which is one of the strategies to develop Songkhla
province,
2.
Reuse of wastewater from the rubber and seafood industries
3.
Renewable energy which does not effect the environment

In
addition, FTI requests PSU academicians to conduct researches
which FTI is able to apply. |

However, the main issue discussed was the
Quality of the Graduates which is a part of PSU products. As some
of them will work with the industrial sectors, therefore, FTI Songkhla
requests PSU to produce graduates with emphasis on foreign languages
skill especially English. Since most of the businesses and industries
in Songkhla concern with export, have to deal with neighboring countries
and other partners, therefore, and the qualified graduates will
facilitate in doing business and they will get advantage on their
career development. Therefore, foreign language is one of the most
important issues that the business will consider when they recruit
personnel to work with them. Furthermore, FTI also requests PSU
to develop language skill for staff members.
